More than 25 boats are anticipated to take part in this weekend’s Everglades Rendezvous, which is being organized by Annapolis Boat Sales in Maryland.
The rendezvous opens on Friday evening with a cocktail reception at Bridges Restaurant. On Saturday morning, following a brunch check-in at the Jetty Dock Bar, the boats will embark on a roughly 30-minute journey to Lowes Wharf Marina Inn for a crab feast dinner featuring live music from the Chris Sacks Band.
The event concludes on Sunday with an optional trip to Conquest Beach, where families and kids will gather for a fun-filled day. This marks the first year that Annapolis Boat Sales has organized a rendezvous, according to Madison Hackett, the company’s marketing and event coordinator.
“Our aim is for our customers to enjoy a relaxing weekend,” said Hackett, who added, “If the weekend goes well, we’d likely consider making it an annual event.”
Everglades, which produces center-console models ranging from 25 to 45 feet, is hosting its own rendezvous in collaboration with its dealers. The Edgewater, Florida-based manufacturer will put on gatherings in Destin, Florida (June 29); Fire Island, New York (July 13-14); and the Florida Keys (July 19-21).
Everglades has been holding its rendezvous since at least 2014, with most events occurring mainly in Florida. There is no registration fee for this rendezvous; Annapolis Boat Sales is encouraging participants to contribute to Fishing for Muscular Dystrophy (FFMD).
