Since 1959, Grady-White has been constructing boats and has consistently introduced innovative designs and features in the marine industry.

The latest offering from the North Carolina manufacturer is the Freedom 415, claiming the title of the largest outboard-powered dual console boat after its introduction at the 2024 Miami International Boat Show.

Measuring 40’7” in length and 13’8” in beam, the Freedom 415 is a powerhouse equipped with four Yamaha XTO Offshore 450 outboards mounted at the transom. The boat’s imposing size is even more evident out of the water at the Miami Beach Convention Center, showcasing the famous SeaV2 hull design from the company.

“This is the largest outboard dual console boat ever produced, truly a dual console,” stated Shelley Tubaugh, vice president of marketing at Grady-White. “We began with the 30 (Freedom 307), then the 33 (Freedom 335), followed by the 37 (Freedom 375). This is our subsequent advancement.”

Dual consoles are favored for their adaptability, whether for fishing or day cruising. Grady-White features 10 dual-console variants, using their expertise to develop the Freedom 415.

Accessing the Freedom 415 is effortless, thanks to standard port and starboard side doors. The wet bar also serves as a bait preparation area, while the transom consists of a refrigerator/freezer box accompanied by dual raw water livewells. Additional fishing conveniences comprise rod holders along the gunwales and four rocket launchers atop the hardtop. For comfort while monitoring fishing lines, an elevated, air-conditioned seat facing aft is conveniently located under the hardtop.

Although the hardtop and fully enclosed windshield occupy a considerable section of the cockpit, Grady-White has ensured ample space at the stern for fishing activities. The hardtop boasts an electric sunroof and a comfortable design scheme. To the port side, seating arrangements can be configured as either forward or aft-facing lounges, two benches, or a U-shaped area. A 24-inch television has been integrated into the hardtop for entertainment.

The helm, located to starboard, is equipped with twin adjustable chairs, footrests, and armrest features. The dashboard accommodates dual 22” displays along with switches for controlling the boat’s essential operations.

The dual consoles below offer ample space, including overnight accommodations to the port side. Grady-White has provided a premium experience with custom-built oak cabinets featuring inlays and woven seagrass fabric wall coverings. Full-sized double berths at both the stern and bow can sleep up to four people, with amenities such as a 24-inch TV and a microwave.

The starboard console houses a complete head locker equipped with a shower, vanity, and a cedar-lined hanging compartment. Grady-White has incorporated custom features, including handcrafted cabinets, a hand-hammered nickel sink, and teak flooring.

“A great advantage is that if someone wants to take a nap, the head can still be accessed without waking them up,” Tubaugh explained.

The spacious bow area is entirely cushioned, with two teak tables that can be lowered, transforming it into a generous sun pad. With a four-pole easy-up bow shade to shield against midday sun, along with insulated coolers, cupholders, and USB-C charging ports, passengers are well catered to.

The Freedom 415 is packed with standard features, including a Seakeeper 6, making it a feature-laden vessel and Grady-White’s latest dual console flagship.
