With 13 beautiful boats displayed at the Camden on the Lake Resort docks in Lake Ozark, Mo., along with a couple of new M37R Widebody catamaran deliveries and several boats competing in two days of top-speed racing, DCB Performance Marine’s Tony Chiaramonte and Jeff Johnston were occupied during Super Cat Fest and the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout last month. However, due to Johnny Bauer and the skilled team at the company’s Phoenix headquarters, the lamination process for the first M42R Widebody catamaran proceeded smoothly.

“The hull has undergone its final infusion,” stated Bauer, the company’s vice president of production. “Next, the bulkheads will be installed. The deck has had its outer skin and graphics finished. It is now being prepared for the core and inner skin.”

“All seat shells and smaller components are completed,” he added. “The interior patterns are being designed. All parts will move to post-lamination and the gelcoat department by the end of this month.”

An ongoing project.

The company is looking forward to two major events: the Lake Powell Challenge from September 19-22 and their annual owners regatta from October 3-5 at Lake Havasu.

“The entire team is excitedly anticipating the moment when the two parts are released from their molds for everyone to see,” Bauer remarked. “Customers passing through Phoenix en route to our regatta in Lake Havasu will have an additional reason to visit the factory.”
