That’s not safe.

Paris Hilton faced criticism for sharing a video of her 19-month-old son Phoenix on a catamaran without a life jacket.

In the TikTok posted Wednesday, Hilton’s son charmingly crawled and walked on the boat in an adorable burgundy outfit while being filmed by his well-known mother.

However, commentators were primarily concerned about the absence of a life jacket for Phoenix.

“Mom, please make sure he wears a life jacket anytime he’s on a boat!!” one user wrote. “Accidents happen. That’s why they’re called accidents.”

“My anxiety is through the roof not seeing him in a life jacket!! Better safe than sorry on the water!” another commenter expressed.

“Seeing him walk on the net above the open water scared me,” a different follower noted.

A fourth person remarked, “This makes me anxious. He really needs a life jacket. I worry a lot about him.”

Another comment described Hilton’s video of Phoenix as “incredibly frightening,” while someone else mentioned their “heart raced” witnessing the 1-year-old without a life jacket.

Hilton eventually addressed the worries in a comment on the video.

“Hey Mamas, I appreciate the advice & your concern for my #CutesieCrew,” she wrote.

“It’s a large boat and my husband and I are keeping a close watch on him, monitoring him constantly,” Hilton added. “My kids mean everything to me.”

The prominent socialite shares Phoenix with her spouse, Carter Reum. They welcomed Phoenix via surrogate in January 2023.

The couple has also welcomed a 9-month-old daughter, London, who was born via surrogate in November 2023.

Hilton expressed her joy over Phoenix while sharing a one-minute boat video set to Ed Sheeran’s song “Photograph.”

“Watching Phoenix discover the world has meant so much to me. I am incredibly thankful to be a #SlivingMom,” Hilton’s caption stated.

After Phoenix was born, Hilton had to defend against critics mocking the newborn’s head.

“There are some cruel people in this world,” she commented on a video of her son in October 2023. “My angel is completely healthy.”

She continued: “And yes, of course, he has seen a doctor; he simply has a large brain.”

In a longer message on her Instagram Story, the “Simple Life” alum stated that the comments about Phoenix were “unacceptable” but regrettably “inevitable” given her public status.

“This really breaks my heart more than words can express,” Hilton wrote.

While Hilton enjoys being a mother of two, she has indicated that she would be open to having another child — specifically another daughter.

“I would love a sister for London since my sister and I share such a close bond,” Hilton shared with E! News in April, referring to her older sister Nicky Hilton, 40.

“I’m not sure; I’m really cherishing them both right now. But that would be absolutely wonderful,” she added.
