In late December 2024, Damen Yachting proudly announced the sale of the newest Amels 60 hull, marking an exciting milestone in the world of luxury yachting.

The new 197-foot Amels 60 Project 6007 has been brought to life with the expert guidance of Rory and Sean Moran from Moran Yacht & Ship, who not only represented the owner during the sale but are also overseeing the final outfitting stages of the yacht. Additionally, they will be managing its ambitious charter schedule after delivery.

Rory Moran expressed his enthusiasm about this collaboration, stating, “Working once more with the Damen Yachting team on another Amels 60 Limited Editions project has been absolutely delightful. It’s fascinating to see how the platform has evolved, integrating numerous enhancements from our first Amels 60 Limited Editions, Entourage, into 6007. A sincere thank you goes out to the new owner and his family for their trust in our capabilities. We are eagerly looking forward to making her a prominent charter vessel, set to start in the summer of 2025.”

Alongside offering the Amels 60 for charter, the owner and his adventurous family are keen to maximize their enjoyment aboard this vessel. They have ambitious plans for global travel, with an itinerary that promises exploration across various oceans and continents.

Jan van Hogerwou, Commercial Executive for Damen Yachting, who acted as Amels’ representative in this sale, shared his excitement, saying, “Welcoming a new owner into the Amels family is something we are all quite thrilled about. Throughout the sales process, it has been inspiring to observe how this Amels 60 perfectly aligns with the family’s vision of yacht ownership—balancing quality time together, travel, enjoyment on board, and discovery around the world.”

The Amels 60 boasts hybrid power and propulsion technology, and its striking exterior design comes courtesy of renowned designer Espen Øino, featuring the signature geometric window styling. This yacht embodies the essence of the Amels Limited Editions concept, integrating design elements that have evolved throughout the series, such as an extended sundeck, a feature originally added to hull number two, also managed by Moran Yacht & Ship.

What makes this Amels 60 truly special are the bespoke interiors crafted by Harrison Eidsgaard. This collaboration marks the first time the London-based studio has worked on Amels, resulting in a contemporary yet inviting aesthetic that encapsulates a refined beach house luxury. The use of natural materials and thoughtful detailing ensures a warm and tactile ambience throughout the yacht.

Rose Damen, the Managing Director of Damen Yachting, was actively engaged with the client throughout this entire process. She reflected on the experience, stating, “As a family-owned business, I take immense pride in welcoming new families into the Amels community. Collaborating with this family has been an incredible honor, and I am thrilled that we could be a part of their journey to create memorable experiences together on board as they explore the world.”
