Nobiskrug Secures Temporary Financing from the German Government After Declaring Insolvency

Following its recent insolvency, the German shipyard Nobiskrug has successfully secured temporary funding from the Schleswig-Holstein promotional bank. This crucial support will allow the yard to continue its operations at both the Flensburg and Rendsburg locations while actively seeking new investors.

This state-backed loan, combined with insolvency relief benefits, will cover the unpaid salaries for employees from November. It also ensures that nearly 500 employees—340 in Flensburg and 140 in Rendsburg—will receive their wages without interruption until January 31, 2025. Moving forward, the yard’s ability to thrive will hinge on its success in attracting new investments.
