Movado is making a significant comeback with a fresh global campaign titled “When I Move You Move.” For fans of the early 2000s, this sensational campaign is sure to evoke feelings of nostalgia. Featuring iconic personalities like Ludacris, a Grammy Award-winning rapper, actor, and entrepreneur; Jessica Alba, the acclaimed actress and entrepreneur; alongside the legendary Julianne Moore, Pro Bowl and All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey, and the acclaimed All-Star point guard and gold medalist Tyrese Haliburton, the campaign introduces a dynamic new face for Movado.
This initiative resonates deeply with Movado’s brand essence, as “Movado” translates to “always in motion” in Esperanto. Notably, the campaign’s name draws inspiration from Ludacris’ chart-topping 2003 hit, “Stand Up,” where the memorable chorus sings, “When I move you move,” encouraging people to embrace their true passions. The featured talents showcase a diverse range of Movado watches, each adorned with the iconic sphere at the 12 o’clock position, a hallmark of the timeless Museum watch series.
“We are thrilled to showcase an incredible lineup of influential talents from the realms of culture and entertainment in our 2024-2025 global brand campaign,” said Efraim Grinberg, Chairman and CEO of Movado Group. “It was essential for us to collaborate with individuals who embody Movado’s legacy of innovation, excellence, and iconic design. The energy and movement infused in this campaign are captivating, fostering a connection to the essence of Movado.”
To bring this vibrant vision to life, Movado collaborated with Creative Director Robert Lussier from The Style Council, alongside world-renowned fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The energetic styling in the visuals and the hip-hop-inspired campaign video were curated by celebrity stylist Mel Ottenberg, while the dynamic choreography was executed by movement director Stephen Galloway.
“Over the past year, we’ve embarked on an exciting journey to elevate our brand by crafting a campaign that resonates culturally and inspires movement – one that literally makes you want to get up and go,” shared Margot Grinberg, President of Movado. “Our aim is to be bold and stand out—delivering something unexpected that captures attention and compels viewers to explore more of what Movado has to offer. This approach will help our brand stay top of mind and engage new audiences around the world.”
