Your experience at the opening night of Art Works Gallery’s “Perception” exhibition was shared by LUXUO, who joined Cassi Young and her dedicated Art Works team, along with featured artist Araminta Blue and over 80 knowledgeable art collectors from Singapore. The elegant venue was filled with vibrant conversations among mingling guests, illuminated by the stunning works of the young talents Araminta Blue, Callum Harvey, and Max Boyla adorning the walls. The talented artists exhibited their unique styles, revealing their individual interpretations of reality through their distinctive practices while challenging conventional views on form, space, and significance.

A panel discussion took place featuring Art Works’ global fine arts director Cassi Young and artist Araminta Blue, moderated by Heart Media CEO Olivier Burlot. Cassi Young, noted for her previous role as Director of Post-War & Contemporary Art at Bonhams, possesses invaluable expertise that plays a key role in addressing the rapidly increasing demand for fine art in the Singaporean and APAC markets. Her invaluable advice for aspiring collectors included the need for thorough research and consultations with experienced art advisors to better navigate the intricate art world and maximize their engagement.

Araminta discussed her creative process, emphasizing her enthusiasm for exploring various interpretations with her audience. She found it inspiring to engage in such dialogues, which influence her forthcoming works. Furthermore, she recounted exchanges with fellow featured artists Callum Harvey and Max Boyla, all stressing the significance of art “existing in the room with you.” Being present with the material enables deeper emotional connections for viewers.
