2024 iQFOiL Youth & Junior World Championships at Sa Ràpita, Spain – Day 5

Out of 375 young sailors from 35 countries, the top four competitors in Sa Ràpita, Mallorca, are Darcey Shaw (GBR), Federico Pilloni (ITA), Alba Klein (ISR), and Itamar Levi (ISR).
Due to a general warning issued by the authorities in the Balearic Islands last night, racing was canceled today as heavy rain and storms affected the island in the afternoon.
Despite the poor weather, we had the opportunity to meet the four leaders across the various categories: U19 Women, U19 Men, U17 Women, and U17 Men. Currently leading are Darcey Shaw (GBR 309), Federico Pilloni (ITA 186), Alba Klein (ISR), and Itamar Levi (ISR). Itamar’s group, the U17 Men, still has two qualifying races left before they can advance to the Medal Series.
Racing is set to begin at 10:00 am tomorrow for the U17 Men, who will finish their last qualifying races on a single course. Meanwhile, the Medal Series will start at 10:30 am on another course, beginning with the U19 Women and alternating with the U19 Men. After these races are finished, the U17 Women and Men will compete. All action on this course will be streamed live on the iQFOiL Official YouTube Channel.
By this time tomorrow, we will know who the 2024 iQFOiL Youth & Junior World Champions are.
